Esther Routledge

Originally from Stoke on Trent, I've lived in Manchester since 2011.

In my free time I've been part of leading a co-operative community choir in the city centre since 2013 and served on the committee across a range of roles.

In my career I've been inclusion and heritage/culture sector focussed, working my way up from customer services to managing a disabled dance company. I've mostly worked for arms length government bodies The British Council and Historic England, where I'm currently an Inclusive Heritage Officer.

I see the way that connection to heritage and community can benefit and unite people, so I'm particularly interested in how this shows up for marginalised groups like women asylum seekers. Having experienced hardship and turmoil, I believe WAST women deserve softness and strength so I am keen to support that.
