A trip to Edale by Nighat

The WAST choir performing in Edale

The journey to Edale on a rainy day by train was a serene and enchanting experience. As the train wound it’s way through the lush countryside, droplets of rain tapped gently against the windows, creating a soothing rhythm.

The ladies of WAST were very excited and were enjoying picturesque landscapes that unfolded outside. They were so happy, enjoying the views outside also listening to the music and dancing with the rhythm.

As we reached Edale the host welcomed us with warmth. All the ladies and kids followed the hosts towards the area where stalls were installed. We arranged our stall with the sewing stuff made by the ladies in WAST.

The food stalls set up on the ground for visitors to Edale added a lively and delectable dimension to the countryside experience.

All the WAST women were enjoying hot food in the rain at Edale, it was an unexpectedly delightful experience. Some of the WAST ladies had brought a variety of food for themselves and it felt like a feast showing off the Arabian culture.

The hot food they placed included turkey, chicken, rice and after having the food they started unwrapping fresh and dry fruits with their hot black tea.

The rain added a unique charm, turning the simple act of eating into a cosy celebration of good food and nature’s tranquillity.
