WAST statement in response to the far right riots
At WAST we are horrified by the far-right violence happening in Greater Manchester and across the country. We stand in solidarity with all members of our network.
We stand with everyone affected by the ongoing attacks. Many of the people affected are seeking sanctuary in the UK after fleeing danger and persecution.
We stand against the culture of fear created by these events.
We echo the Runnymede Trust and other migrant rights and racial justice charities in calling for parliament to be recalled, and for zero tolerance on far-right, racist and anti-migrant narratives.
For the latest updates on the far-right violence and locations of possible attacks, please see Hope not Hate.
